Professor Cathy Adams will give a talk this Sunday in the Livingston County Historical Society Museum on how the Underground Railroad operated in this area. The talk is free and open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend.
Professor Adams has been a member of the Geneseo faculty since 2007. She is an expert on the history of African-Americans in the early United States. Her book, Love of Freedom: Black Women in Colonial and Revolutionary New England (2010), was the first study of black women in colonial and Revolutionary New England.
