It is with great sadness that the History Department shares the news of the passing of Margaret (Meg) Stolee, Assistant Professor Emerita of History, after a long illness. Professor Stolee joined the Geneseo community in 1985, and shared her love of Russian history with generations of students. A committed member of the College, she was a recipient of the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Faculty Service.
We know that you will join us in offering condolences to Professor Stolee’s beloved children and grandchildren, and the Department is happy to pass on any messages or reminiscences former students may wish to share with them.
Funeral arrangements are being made and will be announced at a later date.
